Henry WatkinsThere hasn’t been a single audition I’ve gone into as a professional in which I haven’t employed the lessons I’ve received from Todd. I can’t recommend him enough.

This class seamlessly integrates cold reading, script analysis, character development and audition technique into an on-going workout opportunity that allows time for actors to develop the myriad skills required to compete in today’s marketplace and book work.

Overview:

  • Learn to break down sides quickly and efficiently.
  • Create strong, organic characterizations.
  • Find the honesty in the absurdity of scripted comedic material.
  • Increase your cold reading skills.
  • Nail your adjustments and redirection.
  • Perfect your on-camera audition technique.
  • Develop the knowledge and vocabulary to market yourself like a pro.
  • Work with multi-camera, single-camera and dramedy scripts.

Our classroom environment is nurturing, supportive and challenging to actors of varying experience levels and ability. Actors work on-camera with playback every week. In addition, ACS encourages networking, socializing and building a community of peers.

The ongoing classes continuously produce new working relationships and casting opportunities. Along with practicing the craft, class regularly includes discussions on marketing and up to the minute information about the everchanging Entertainment Industry.

The Acting For Sitcoms Class is particularly beneficial for:

  • Actors coming out of a University or Art School program.
  • Actors who have primarily worked in drama and wish to master the art of sitcom work.
  • Working actors who aren’t booking as frequently as they’d like and aren’t sure why.
