A few months ago, I got a last minute audition. The script wasn’t available ahead of time, so I knew that I would have to work hard and fast on it once I got to the session. When I arrived, I sat down with the script and began breaking it down using the tools and processes that Todd taught me at ACS. After about 4 minutes, the writer of the series came out of the room and said that they were ready for me. I went into the audition and they all laughed – the writer, director and lead actor. More importantly, I wasn’t “acting” in the scene, I was really in it. I got the job.

Create Your Reel
Director Partnership Program
Create Your Reel is Hollywood’s premier reel production facility. Their customized service allows any actor to have a professionally written and produced reel to suit their specific type and range. Actors Comedy Studio is proud to be associated with Create Your Reel through their Director Partnership Program.
The Director Partnership Program is a logical step toward innovating the exact solution that actors need to jump start theirs careers; a reel directed by someone who knows their work, can draw out their strengths and who they can entrust with their industry calling card.
Todd is excited to be one of Create Your Reel’s Select Partner Directors. As such, actors have the choice to work with Create Your Reel’s in house directors or hire Todd to direct the shoot.
Either way, all clients will leave with an excellent finished product. But there is no doubt that being directed by someone you have an existing relationship with increases the odds of getting the best performance possible.
Todd is also happy to direct anyone who wants a reel that focuses on comedy. Being enrolled in class at Actors Comedy Studio is not required. Todd is an experienced comedy writer/producer/director and the reels he’s directed have gotten actors the representation and work they desire.
If necessary, Todd can also provide help before an actors scheduled shoot. Todd can accomodate performance coaching before hand or help you create the breakdowns required for your reel session, both comedic and dramatic. Having a clear idea of what characters you should be playing and in what situations BEFORE you film will sharply increase your chances of benefitting from your finished reel.
Cost:
$95 per scene for actors currently enrolled in any ongoing ACS class
$125 per scene for non ACS clients
