Run don’t walk to sign up at ACS! You get a taste of all the following in Gunnar’s classes: cold reading, audition technique, scene study, TV single camera, TV multi-camera, improv, film comedy, basic scene study, character analysis, etc. We also celebrate good news and share helpful info on the biz each week before class starts. It’s really a supportive environment, and I’ve made my best friends in LA through these classes. What a great feeling to be part of a group where you are learning, growing and being with people you respect and love to be around. Oh, and most importantly, laughing your ass off!Robin Phelps
One of the best on-camera classes in LA! Gunnar Todd Rohrbacher is an incredible teacher with great insights, especially when it comes to acting for sitcoms. You get to work 2-3 times per class, you get great feedback and tips, and then you review your performance afterward to see how you look on camera. AND, class is a blast in a half; I laugh more in this class than I do at some comedy clubs. Class at ACS is one of the few I recommend for actors here in Los Angeles. Patrick Donahue
A few months ago, I got a last minute audition. The script wasn’t available ahead of time, so I knew that I would have to work hard and fast on it once I got to the session. When I arrived, I sat down with the script and began breaking it down using the tools and processes that Gunnar taught me at ACS. After about 4 minutes, the writer of the series came out of the room and said that they were ready for me. I went into the audition and they all laughed – the writer, director and lead actor. More importantly, I wasn’t “acting” in the scene, I was really in it. I got the job.Phillip Daniel
I have taken many, many classes in los Angeles, ranging from acting scene study to comedy to improv. There are very few teachers or schools that “get it”. Gunnar Todd is at the top of the list! He understands what it means to be an actor and deliver what is needed on screen and on stage. If you are trying to accomplish any level of success in this business, as an actor, you NEED to study with Gunnar!Jonathan Levit
One of the best acting schools around! There have been countless times where I have taken class one week and the lesson in that class immediately helped me in my very next audition. Equal parts resourceful and inspirational. Thank you ACS!!!!Erica Hanrahan-Ball
I am writing this review on the Comedy Cast Intensive I had with Gunnar Todd Rohrbacher and Dorian Frankel. This class is amazing. You learn so much about yourself, comedy, the casting process, and auditioning all in those five hours. It could save you years of heartache and problems. Mickey Casab
It’s really hard for a writer or director to nail a pitch because so much comes down to performance. Gunnar is able to take his natural abilities to elicit great performances out of actors & tailor that towards helping ‘behind the camera’ types feel comfortable when performing their pitch. On top of that, Gunnar was instrumental in offering great story advice, funny jokes, & helping to bring the emotion out at key story points. But I beg you, please don’t hire him, cause he may be too booked to coach me!Mike L. Murphy
I have never met anyone who has a more perfect understanding of comedy than Gunnar. My confidence in my acting has improved drastically and I landed commercial and theatrical representation as a result of one of the Studio’s showcases! I’ve also found that students in this Studio are very motivated. I’ve never been around so many people who are constantly producing their own content.Amanda Nix
