I am writing this review on the Comedy Cast Intensive I had with Gunnar Todd Rohrbacher and Dorian Frankel. This class is amazing. You learn so much about yourself, comedy, the casting process, and auditioning all in those five hours. It could save you years of heartache and problems. Mickey Casab
I have grown so much as an Actor under Gunnar’s tutelage. He has the keen ability to see your strengths and weaknesses, and he helps and guides you in a very supportive way. Highly recommend studying at Actors Comedy Studio!Alex Alexander
Gunnar Todd’s comedy class is the only acting class that has given me the technique and the confidence to pursue an acting career after years of absence from the industry. Gunnar understands both comedy and the “business” of show business.Darlene Levin-Hodgetts
If you’re paying attention, you’ll see that comedy is becoming more and more prevalent on TV, film and the web. Even in drama, it’s important to know how to inject some humour to add interest and depth to the story. Gunnar Todd Rohrbacher is a founder and coach at this comedy studio, and he has a gift for teaching funny. He pays attention to every individual and helps them to find what’s uniquely funny about themselves. He’s truly committed to giving the best materials and the best of himself to his students, and that’s invaluable in a teacher. Another bonus for studying at this studio is the business skills that they teach towards developing an acting career.Hennie Kai
I recently had an audition for a comedic role in a feature film. They told me that the improv trained actors they had seen the day before were just “too big” and over-the-top. The director came in had me do the scene, laughed and asked me to try a different way and then said that was great and asked me if could wait so they could bring in the producer. My training with Gunnar gave me the confidence, skill and practice to work each audition and be funny over and over again. I walked out of that audition feeling like a winner.Vanessa Mesia
I have taken many, many classes in los Angeles, ranging from acting scene study to comedy to improv. There are very few teachers or schools that “get it”. Gunnar Todd is at the top of the list! He understands what it means to be an actor and deliver what is needed on screen and on stage. If you are trying to accomplish any level of success in this business, as an actor, you NEED to study with Gunnar!Jonathan Levit
One of the best on-camera classes in LA! Gunnar Todd Rohrbacher is an incredible teacher with great insights, especially when it comes to acting for sitcoms. You get to work 2-3 times per class, you get great feedback and tips, and then you review your performance afterward to see how you look on camera. AND, class is a blast in a half; I laugh more in this class than I do at some comedy clubs. Class at ACS is one of the few I recommend for actors here in Los Angeles. Patrick Donahue
Gunnar has created an amazing studio where actors can come together to learn craft and business skills, find their unique ‘funny’, and grow as artists and professionals in a supportive community. I am so grateful to Gunnar for his expertise and amazing insight. His classes and private coaching have been instrumental in my acting career. He has helped me to build a resume with TV Comedy credits I am incredibly proud of. His feedback is honest but always given with kindness and compassion. I look forward to continuing my personal and artistic growth with Gunnar as a teacher, mentor and true artist.Mary Passeri
There hasn’t been a single audition I’ve gone into as a professional in which I haven’t employed the lessons I’ve received from Gunnar. I can’t recommend him enough.Henry Watkins
There is no doubt that Actors Comedy Studio is the only studio of its kind; where actors are given the chance to study and perfect the fundamental technique of situational comedy. Before, I had found my way into some improv classes or relied on the occasional comedy script I got in my scene study class, but it wasn’t enough. With the instruction of Gunnar Todd Rohrbacher, I was able to elevate my comedy technique and have a leg up on the competition. ACS truly is a must for anyone else who is serious about working in comedy.J. R. May
